With the heritage campaign I was tasked with creating a "time capsule" of the history of Flymo. Using extensive footage from their archive, as well as found footage and motion graphics we were to create a roll out of different formats for their social media.
Utilising a technique called "gaussian splatting" we were able to capture 3D renders of the historical Flymo products onsite at their head office, and turn them into models that we could manipulate and animate in After Effects.
2D animation, composite, colour and edit all done within After Effects.
It became clear that the right way to seamlessly blend this end frame was to use 3D models of the battery. I UV mapped and textured the blank batteries, then blended the old endframe with the new using a match cut.
This was then rolled out over 16 different films and asset formats.
